Many are custom, like his collection of jean jackets, which come to the store simple, only to have colorful patches included—a touch of Fernando. Fernando, who is from Bogota, Colombia, said he started sewing out of necessity. Anyone can sew, Fernando said. But what he has, is an eye for texture. The eye of a designer.
